Jason English is the CEO and co-founder of CG Tech, a group that provides strategic oversight and innovation to a portfolio of industrial, engineering, technology, and energy businesses employing more than 5,500 people across the EMEA Region, Asia and the U.S.. He describes his role as Chief Eco-System Officer, supporting subsidiary leadership teams and enabling strategic growth across the group.

Jason also serves as interim CEO of Al Laith, a Middle East company delivering engineering and construction of rapid build temporary structures and equipment rentals to clients and ministries across Saudi Arabia, Oman, the UAE, and Qatar. He also oversees the group’s digital transformation team who develop virtual software solutions spanning drone-based data capture, VR, AR, 3D animation, IoT, and more.

His path to the top of a technology-driven industrial group was anything but conventional. Jason trained as a mechanical engineer while serving in the South African Police Services, qualified as a paramedic, and later earned an MBA and a project management qualification. He is also a licensed helicopter and commercial drone pilot.

A published author, speaker, and thought leader on technology and culture, Jason has spoken at international seminars across South Africa, the UK, the U.S., Singapore, Dubai, Shanghai, and beyond, and has been featured by CNBC, TechCrunch, Yahoo Finance, and Entrepreneur SA. In 2017, he was selected as one of only 250 global leaders to join Peter Diamandis' mastermind of exponential entrepreneurs, A360, and he currently serves on the EXCO of YPO MENA.
